Educational Qualification
The applicant must have a medical qualification covered by the National. Medical Council Act, 2019. Applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/NMC/MCI. Holders of post graduate degree recognized by State Medical Council /NBE/NMC can also apply. And study the official notification for more information.

Salary scale
After the selection of the candidate for recruitment in AFMS, the pay scale will be given as follows. There will be doctors on commissioning in the Armed Forces Medical Services. Given the rank of Captain (or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force) in Level 10B of Defense Pay Matrix. BP Rs. 61300 + MSP Rs. 15500 + HRA (if applicable) as per city category, (ie X, Y, Z, where the officer is posted) + NPA at prevailing rate + Transport Allowance Rs. 3600-7200 as per City Range, (ie X, Y, Z where the officer is posted) + Dress Allowance Rs. 20,000 (per annum) and dearness allowance as per prevailing rate. In addition, ration to officers or ration allowance in lieu (as per place of posting and notification to that effect) subsidized accommodation and allied facilities. PG degree holders are eligible for PG allowance or specialist pay on being appointed as classified specialist as per training rules applicable from time to time. In addition, officers are entitled to 60 days of annual leave and 20 days of casual leave in a year. Travel Concession (LTC), free medical services insurance for self and family including dependent parents, group and Canteen Stores Depot (CSD) facility.
